Liam O’Grady

BSc (Hons) MArch ARB RIBA

Associate Director

With over 11 years’ experience working in central London, Liam joined the team at Hutchinson & Partners as an Associate in December 2018, and was promoted to Associate Director in July 2023.

Liam studied architecture at The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, before joining John Robertson Architects in London, where he was part of their senior management team since 2013. During his time there, Liam gained extensive knowledge across a range of projects, typologies, and team sizes, with a focus on the City of London and Westminster.

With a background in medium to large scale commercial and residential projects, including conservation, repositioning, and new build, Liam has overseen the design and delivery of large scale and ambitious projects, often on constrained sites. He has exemplified these skills most recently in his role on 33 King William Street in the City of London, a 220,000sqft new build headquarters for Wells Fargo; and Aldwych Quarter in Westminster, a 320,000sqft restoration and renovation of five 1920’s office buildings including the Grade II listed Bush House.

Liam offers a technical, compliance, and practical viewpoint to architectural design at the early stages; ensuring efficiency and continuity from conceptual design through to built reality. Always taking upmost responsibility for the work he is involved in, he strives to achieve the very best result for the client, team, and ultimately the city.
