Stephen studied Architecture at the University of Westminster, obtaining his postgraduate Diploma in 2007 and qualifying as a registered architect in 2011.
With over 10 years’ experience working in central London and North West of England, Stephen joined the team at Hutchinson & Partners as an Associate in June 2020.
Prior to joining Hutchinson & Partners Stephen spent 10 years at Squire & Partners. Stephen was part of the management team working on many high end residential and commercial offices, most recently the completion of the £50m commercial office in Manchester called Landmark St Peters Square. This was taken from planning through to construction and comprises of 14 storeys of office with a total area of 180,000 sq ft. Following this Stephen worked on the planning and tender packages (2 Stage Tender) for 25-28 Buckingham Gate which houses 24 apartments with a design which resembles the mansion block typology within the local vicinity of Victoria.
Other projects includes the mix use scheme at 8 -10 Hanover Street which consists of 7 floors of residential and 6 floors of office space and Southbank Place which is the redevelopment of the Shell Headquarter site adjacent to Waterloo Station. Southbank Place includes two residential towers rising to 30 and 37 storeys in height along with a new build office connecting to the existing Shell Headquarters building.
Stephen enjoys a challenge and is always keen to find the most practical solution to ensure the client and design aspirations are met.
