Helen studied at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, graduating in 2011. Her thesis project was set in Reykjavik and focused on the relationships between architecture and history, culture and the contemporary urban fabric, culminating in a proposal for an Institute of Icelandic Literature.
After graduating, Helen continued to develop her professional knowledge in practice in London and qualified as a registered architect in 2015.
Before joining Hutchinson and Partners, Helen spent five years working for Bennetts Associates, working on several cultural and education projects in King’s Cross and Edinburgh. During this time she gained significant experience working with historic structures and developed an interest in designing for wellbeing and social cohesion.
