Hutchinson & Partners are proud to be shortlisted for the Archiboo Web Awards 2018, in the Best Offline Experience category. The category was judged by Rory Olycato director of Open City and former editor of the AJ, Adam Scott the creative force behind FreeState and Sam Bompass, one half of Bompass & Parr, world-leaders in architecturally-led experience and event design. The judges look at the way in which practices create offline experiences in order to strengthen their online relationships, offering an audience a standout experience to create deeper roots that exist beyond a screen.

We entered our London Festival of Architecture event ‘Living Above the Shop’, a talk we hosted at a pop-up gallery space on the historic Sicilian Avenue. The talk explored the past, present and future identity of mixed use in London and the changing nature of this historic urban condition. A video of the event was also created in order to boost our online presence and audience interaction. The event was accompanied by a week-long exhibition in which we sought to abstract 5 elements from 5 projects as a curated series of architectural fragments. The awards ceremony will be held on the 19th of September, where the winner of the Best Offline Experience will be announced.
